Thank you letter
May 15 2012
Dear Blandly Leonard and Alexander G.
With all my admiration, I thank you so much for being such
great supervisors. I really enjoyed this internship because it was my first
time to work with professionals and get the experience working with patients.
It was pleasure to work in the volunteer department because they gave the
opportunity to explore the life of physical therapists and people who dedicate
their time to help others. In the
physical therapy department, I feel like I’m with my basketball team because
Alex has a sense humor and empathy.
Blandly, you are a great teacher that allowed me to utilize my mind and
to be thoughtful. I really admired the way you taught me the important factors
for any person who wants to become a therapist. It’s important to have a strong
personality and control your feelings and be compassionate and love to help
people.
I am thankful to you blandly and Alex. Both of you were very patient with me the
first days of internship. For me it was really hard to work with professional
people and be on time. I had to work
hard to try understand you sometimes because I am stilling learning English as
my second language. I have been here
just two years and I think I improved English at my internship. Working at
Maimonides helped me get better and also learn new words and have more
knowledge about medicine. It was a really good experience during this
internship because I like how you both introduced me to the rest of the
employees in the hospital. You made me feel comfortable and to be part of a
team.
I am really amazed by the way Maimonides Medical Center
serves people with respect, integrity, compassion, all proving better health
for the patients. I really appreciate the opportunity you gave me to volunteer
in the Physical Therapist department. Having a chance to interact with patients
and listening to them touched me and made me a better communicator and helped
me become a better person and learn important factors to be involved in a
hospital.
I am really proud to have the opportunity to intern with
you. Both of you are the best
supervisors I have ever had during my first internship of my life. I will miss
you guys a lot. Take care.
Sincerely,
Michelle Steffy Candelo
